good unit for simple plug and play but rangemasters and procasters do better in most cases as far as range. the improved iAM sound quality is nearly as good as the procasters and rangemasters and certainly a big improvement over the THv5.
they put about 80mW to the internal/external ATU.
they are nice units for the price. i wouldn't pony up the extra for the outdoor case go to Home Depot / Lowes and roll your own outdoor enclosure.
that's all the commentary i have from my experience with it.

Howdy All: I have tested the Talking house 5.0 ( got used in great condition with little use until I got it )
and the I.A.M. transmitter ( got new from factory )
Both where never tampered with in test !
Both where equal in test setup except changing tx out !
I done dummy load test with meter inline on atu side. NOTE: ( In legal output range ! )
Talking House 5.0 was better then the iam tx.
Antenna bottom was 6 feet off ground at ground level ( apox 10 feet above sea level )
Antenna range test the Talking House 5.0 blown the iam out of the water ! ( in the test I done ) Note: The iam could of done a little better in range if I made a better antenna to suit it !
As for audio quality I could make both of these sound like FM audio
Due to I know what I'm doing I tired of hearing these tx sound like crap they
Don't you just got to know what your doing in audio setup as well as your antenna
Bandwith I know this do to I have tested this first hand so I know !
Note: I NEVER Had to REWORK my 2 tx to improve on the audio at all !
Now as for the wire side on both of these tx in my opinion there is NO hope your better off with the atu side !
I have placed on part 15.us on testing I have done, check it out if it still there.
I'm still having issue on this site, will get back when I can !
Have a great day Station 8
