Carl, WMMT-FM is incredible and if it wasn't for the distance between me and Whitesburg,Ky i would volunteer. They have a great thing going for them, an eclectic format, great people and their network of transmitters have to be both an engineers nightmare and joy to maintain. Link To Radio Locator list of transmitters
I can listen on their main frequency , 88.7 FM with no trouble in certain parts of the house and all over Hazard,Ky. They have a few DJ's that play classic rock and some heavy metal as well which is what i listen for. All of those translators are in some RF challenged area's which is why they have so many. 8 in total and their internet stream. I really cannot say enough good things about this station, one day i'd like to take a road trip to Whitesburg,Ky just to see this station in action, it reminds me of WOBO-FM in Batavia,Ohio that was all volunteer. I would volunteer there with an air shift of three or four hours playing rock, had a lot of fun too. If you haven't already done so, i suggest listening to WMMT-FM online at www.wmmt.org/ you won't be disappointed.
