From the FCC website:
The Federal Emergency Management Agency, in coordination with the FCC, will conduct nationwide tests of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) and Wireless Emergency Alerts on October 4, 2023. If conditions on that date require the rescheduling of the tests, they will be conducted on October 11, 2023.
The test will be conducted at 2:20 PM Eastern time.

Well, the EBS/EAS National test, covering radio, TV and cellular went off apparently without a hitch.
First, I received it on my cell phone, then the regional FM and then our local LPFM.
Scheduled for 2:20 PM Eastern time, my cell phone alerted at 2:18. The regional FM went at 2:20 and the local LPFM right after.
The message itself was short. Seemed like less than a minute.
Part 15 radio is not required to carry the EBS/EAS system alerts although some do.
There was much concern that a nefarious signal would be sent with the alert to cause physiological effects, but I haven't seen any Zombies...
