Howdy Y'all: Been running my Ramsey 100b fm transmitter I found and issue that Needed to be addressed on my fm tx. Not everyone might have this issue, but I personally did. I found that my Ramsey 100b fm tx as been over deviating, so here is the fix, You will need: 1) 0.1 uf capacitor epoxy or mylar type marked 104. 2) 4.7k resistor yellow, violet, red, gold. 3) Need Ramsey 100b schematic for that tx unit ( revision ). You will need to place this circuit for the left and right audio input side In front of the if chip input. You might or might not have to cut a break in circuit trace to place it in it's Up to you how you do the work do to some tx are slightly Different from each Ramsey 100b units. After I did this with mine Ramsey 100b fm tx mine stopped over deviating!. Hope this helps you out. Station8

Would be more helpful with a picture of the board showing where you installed the capacitor and resistor.

Was the problem audio frequency related (to much high end frequency) or just to much overall audio signal?
I'm assuming the RC network is configured as a low pass filter. If so, could the same effect be accomplished with some EQ of the audio source?
Either way, good to hear from you Station8!

Howdy Y'all: Good to talk to you guys, Just been busy as usually. One thing I notice on all of the BH series / example bh1415 fm tx ic chip they have a Problem about over deviating!. Mark: I would like to do pictures I know it would help, But I always had issues loading on the site That's why I don't do pictures ok, sorry.
But like I said you place the parts on the left and right audio input channels on the BH series ic chip!, And it be like night and day I done this on three different fm tx with the BH series chip!.
Bob: I have run three different fm tx with the BH series fm tx ic chip and it did not matter How the audio was eq with 100% modulation I still saw the same problems with the deviation problem.
Be so easy to talk to you on teamspeak or phone.
Hope this helps you out Station 8
