Weather Advisaries
At approximately 2:20 AM during the overnight an abrupt storm arose in the vicinity of KDX Worldround Radio. The station was powered down for the night and thus not subject to the ordinary risks of operation during storm conditions.
Our power blacked out completely placing us in complete darkness, but before we sought the emergency lanterns the power restored.
This morning our walk of the campus found no damage.
Meanwhile, at this time, Tropical Storm Alberto is developing along the entire eastern side of the Gulf Coast subjecting Florida, Mississippi and Alabama coastal regions into dangerous storm conditions.
Please report weather events in your area.

We Have Thunder
3 PM Central and our 20% chance of a thunderstorm is paying off.
KDX usually disconnects from the grid to insulate our equipment, so a decision will be made.

We are good here at HBR though as the transmitter is at 900 feet above sea level, and about 200-250 feet above the road and above the Brandywine that runs right next to our road. We are a "carrier", not a "victim" of floods.
