Howdy You All: I have issues posting on part 15.us so if you guys want to route people here or post there it's fine with me.
Now when I built my various antennas and tested them I also tested them as a beam antenna as well.
There is nothing illegal about beam antenna due to there is a reflector behind the hot element Which is NOT attached to the length by any means, It's behind the hot Element and spaced properly.
The trick is to make sure the reflector get space at a certain distance away from the hot element And when you space it push the reflector element in and out and watch your signal go Up and down.
The reason why I can say this, I have done this test first hand and I have seen it work.
The transmitter I used at the time: 1) Talking House 5.0 2) Range master 1000 3) Procaster 4) Graymark 533 5) Sstran 5000 6) Am stereo tx ( Gray/white )
Here is a suggestion, you guys need to do and try the tests yourself and you'll be surprise in the results.
KEEP IN MIND THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LIVE TESTING AND GOING BY COMPUTER SOFTWARE!!!!!!
I'm NOT going into details on the signal reports due to it varried from tx to tx in the test.
All I can say is beam antennas work for part 15 tx as long there built and done correctly!!!!!!!!
Have fun trying
