The why I'm doing things is more important than the how. Like I said, there are many ways to achieve the same thing, from the batch files that I use to writing a program in C or C++. It's the principles that are the most important.
It actually didn't take all that long to put the basic structure together, maybe a day or two. Plus quite a bit of thought beforehand. It took longer to choose the tools - TTS software, locate a good voice, etc. That took a lot of research & experimentation.
