Frequently Asked ALPB Questions
Q. Is the ALPB a club for geeks?
A. In a way yes. The ALPB is the world's newest and smallest membership organization for people with high IQ, as compared with Mensa, the world's oldest and largest high IQ organization.
Q. Do applicants to the ALPB need to prove their high IQ to be accepted?
A. No, we take your word for it, and that's the difference between ALPB and Mensa, which requires IQ certification.
Q. It sounds good so far, but what does "IQ" mean?
A. The ALPB isn't sure what IQ means, but we'd know how to look it up, and that's what sets us apart.
Q. I have traffic violations, will that prevent me from being accepted by the ALPB?
A. No. The ALPB does not check your driving record.

More ALPB Q & A
Q. To join the ALPB do I have to be glib, clever and smart like Carl Blare?
A. Carl Blare isn't glib, clever, or smart. He just acts like it.
Q. Will I meet women as a member?
A. God, I wish.
Q. I really don't like radio but I like joining groups, does it matter?
A. That's fine, in fact you could give a seminar on disliking radio otherwise we'd never know how that's even possible.
Q. Nergis glompum emsa klabunde var tarish snooba?
A. We are an international organization and technically language is no barrier.

Response To Inquiry
Q. Mr. Hills asks whether he will meet strange people.
A. The ALPB is a strange society of very strange members, but we cannot legally discriminate against those who are not strange. Here again is the opportunity for a seminar to improve our sensitivity for the non-strange.

The Limits of Our Ability
Q. ALPB Member Mr. Druid Hills asks: "Will there be a training seminar to develop the requisite skills to be a ALPB Resident Agent?"
A. According to legal counsel, Stag Pinstripe of the lawfirm Pinstripe, Stripmine and Shaft, posing as a "resident agent" is a criminal misdemeanor and does not come under the Part 15 Rules, however we have an offshoot group the "Hobby Jail Society" who will confine fake agents so they cannot interfere with meetings. Under the Trump Administration we expect to have a "Resident Agent Registry" whereby they cannot live within a mile of a legally unlicensed station.

Let Me Handle This One
ALPB Member Druid Hills asked: "What will be the definition of long ground lead?"
A. From an elevated position at the top of your tower if you look down and the ground lead seems long from that perspective it may be considered long. Alternatively, if it takes a long time to measure, it is also long. It's a very long subject and is also code for "I am a resident agent".
