KDX Does a Station Survey
We got to wondering how many of our low power stations plan to cover the highly publicized Royal Wedding taking place this weekend.
The answer is that no stations are giving it the slightest thought and haven't even heard about it.
KDX has received a call from freelance journalist Harold Revulso who says he is positioned in the hallway outside the honeymoon suite hoping to interview anyone going in or out of the rooms. He has already talked to room service staff and they only know which food orders go to which rooms but are not familiar with any hotel guests. "We have a lot of princes, princesses, and many queens that stay at this hotel all the time," said one maid as she pushed her mop bucket.
KDX has also heard from talk show diva Haughty Shish who is cell-phoning from the women's room, hoping to capture the bride in a deep personal interview. When we informed Haughty that the honeymoon suite has its own rest rooms she fell silent and broke the connection.
Despite these offers KDX plans no coverage of this wedding, believing that the wanton murder of Palestinians by Israelis, John Bolton's attempts to bungle the North Korean peace summit, and Donald Trump's efforts to keep his prostitutes quiet, are more important news stories.
If your radio station plans to include any royal programming please report to this ALPB thread.
