Our American StoriesI heard this one running a local AM radio station, and thought the stories, story tellers and variety were all good. Their stories grabbed my ears and I couldn't turn the radio off. From their About page: "Our American Network is an innovation in the audio sphere. No politics, no opinions, just stories. We tell a story and the audience tells us their stories—LIVE, with raw emotional power. Daily bringing the campfire scene to your ears. We hope you’ll join the campfire with our first show Our American Stories." ouramericannetwork.orgI have a couple of their stories and a "This Week In Music" in my playlist right now. The story about Tiny Tim is really good!

The Third ShiftA show for guys, dudes, blokes, with Jay and Jared hosting. It's an unique and well done half hour talk show with news, babes, weird beer reviews, sports, music, talk. It's a little bit edgy, so you might not want to run it right after your station's airing of Unshackled, but it's street legal for airing, covering any swearing that might have happened with the word "Lackadoo".. Thanks to a tip from Tha Dood, I've been running this every week for a year and a regular part of my station now. podcasts.com/the-third-shiftThe guys are tuned to the Part-15 and low power scene too, they'd like to get on more stations and bigger ones, but they've chosen to start with P-15 affiliates, as a way to start getting heard, and it seems to me that's kind of unique. There are several Part Fifteeners that do run them. Boomer

Boomer, How have you made out with these programmers? I have swapped a couple emails with someone from "Our American Stories" but no commitment from them as yet on whether I can carry their programming, and just crickets from the other program, no response after several days. With Our American Stories, I haven't contacted them so far. I found them through a local commercial station running them already in the evenings. I heard the show mention its web address and went to check it out, and grabbed a few as a trial.
I've heard them on the other station several times and like the campfire storytelling idea, good old fashioned storytelling without the politics, though some stories do take a side because of the subject, like the one with the guy with a medical device company who was sued by the government.
The Third Shift, I was asked if I'd like to air that one, hearing through a radio friend that the show was starting up, and they wanted to try something new for the show, to get exposure through radio, starting with low power stations that would like to air it.
Third Shift, is weekly, and I'd guess the guys will have to get into production and will see your letter then? You should be able to get on their list for the weekly e-mail link to the latest show for download.
