I enjoy their interviews, but man, their ads, sometimes they go on for 10 minutes or more about a sponsor in freeform conversation, not my bag of tea.
I did run their episode that included FM translators and pirate radio, with Nick Straka, an engineer in New York City. It gave good reasoning why the stations exist, serving those who fall through the cracks, but that the action of running those stations is bad, in a crowded band and with overmodulated, high power transmitters.
I cropped out all of the ads before airing and got it down to around 53 minutes.
