I've been in the process of experimenting with converting 16 inch radio transcriptions to digital format. I've now got the first one (Country Hoedown #48 from 1957) which I consider reasonable quality (audio-wise, that is), although I still hope to improve the levels (they're a bit low for my taste).
I'm hoping to start linking these in to an Artisan Radio web page in the Content section of the website, as soon as I figure out how to do it.
All of the transcriptions are generally considered to be in the public domain in the U.S. and Canada. I make no claims for other countries.

All ALPB members can have a page under the "Content" section.
Here you can have links to your content if hosted on your own host OR you can send them to me to be uploaded to your Content Page.
The best way to send them to me would be using DropBox or FTP. There is a "Public FTP" available to the ALPB website host. You'll need to request a password to gain access.
Your Content page can include most anything you'd like to have on it.
The page starts out from a template but is modified to suit your needs.

For many years I had a massive collection of 16" transcriptions, recovered from stations that did house cleaning and disposed of them.
There were no coveted network programs, they were mostly military issues of programs by big bands and small dramas with name stars to promote the troops. Plus, a number of commercial disks, Budweiser and others.
Moving and storing these were a serious job, and I finally gave them to an radio/phono collector who loved artifacts from the great radio age.
I had two new condition gates transcription turntables for many years, but they too were space hogs so I let the collector have them.
In all the years I ran a recording studio the capability of transferring radio transcriptions to other media never earned a dime, so I let it go.
I kept one 16" transcription which I'm going to mount on a green felt background and frame on a wall display.
