It's a licensed category similar to Canada's BETS other than 1....like BETS- 2..3..4..5...and RSS-123. Notice it can't be used within 320 KLM of the border of Canada or Mexico and it's only 40mW! Even with an ideal antenna attached to this, how far can 40mW go?

The ALPB Forums Have Grown
In his "Welcome to the ALPB Forums" message Admin MRAM 1500 makes the statement:
"The ALPB is members helping members to improve the state of License Free, Low Power Broadcasting."
That was the spirit of the time but the ALPB has grown to now also include licensed forms of low power broadcasting, including LPFM, CB, T.I.S. (Traffic Information Stations) and, a prediction, Part 74.
Because the subject of FCC Rules Part 74 has come up just earlier in this thread I foresee possibilities that might contribute to what part 15ers do. Watch for further postings on this subject.

Woo Hoo and guess what folks... Chanel 6 (ding ding ding) covers that magic frequency I love so much 87.7 Mhz. Time to get a part 74 license and a 5DB. gain antenna (or more) and we're off and running. OMG why didn't we see this. Got to get busy and read the part 74 deal. I bet I'd cover that 1 1/4 mile with a good antenna (Legally that is). I think the NRR may concentrate on this.
Think a new section for Open Forum is in order (Part 74).

After reading it says experimental and other forms of program distribution.
To legally retransmit my Internet station I wonder what section best fits?
Under experimental how long is this good for?

I don't think I know about Part 74 yet, if you don't mind me not reading the long document, what are the specs? I just heard the latest Radio Survivor played on my own station, and Brazil is getting ready to implement one of your ideas thelegacy, that's open up 76 to 108 megahertz to broadcasting! According to the person interviewed in Brazil, it's because AM stations are being offered to turn in their AM frequencies for FM ones, which means FM will fill up, at least in large cities, which is where the government wants to start the 76 mhz program. I don't know why they want to close the AM, there seems to be no need to, maybe it's just to streamline regulations. Here's the link to their podcast about Brazil's radio: www.radiosurvivor.com/2017/07/11/podcast-99-beginning-end-radio-brazil/Boomer

Strange TransmitterThis Rolls HR70 Transmitter is one heck of a mystery. We have already wondered why a reputable audio equipment company like Rolls would produce an uncertified FM transmitter. Upon further examination I cannot find a clue about the pre-emphasis: 50 uS or 75 uS? Not a word on the website or the faceplates of the unit. The rear of the transmitter shows a jack for 15 V power, but no word as to whether a power supply is included, or, if not, what the accessory part # is. Visiting B&H Audio Video which End80 mentioned is a dealer, the listing for the HR70 is bizarre. There is no specification sheet, any order is non-cancelable and nonreturnable! For a minute I was thinking about ordering one, but not anymore. B&H Audio Video Rolls HR70 FM Transmitter

I think Rolls know there is a legality issue. No refund or returns with any dealer.
