Recognition Well Deserved
End80 Radio presents a History of Part 15... "I recently posted a link to some documentation, which either no one was interested in because it appeared to be about TIS stations, or maybe I'm just getting the cold shoulder over my part15 community divisions rants."
As a long time part 15 practitioner and very caring member of the ALPB your considerable work compiling hard to locate traces of early low power history are greatly appreciated.
At the forthcoming Saturday Meeting I plan to submit your recent work for special recognition in a way to be decided upon by the membership... which, rather than being a History Page on the ALPB Website, may probably be a prominent link to your Part 15 Lab Pages where your work is already published and openly available.
Giving a cold shoulder for your opinions and suggestions would not be a fitting response, and I see another way of explaining a seeming silence following your history exhibition...
It is a fact in radio audiences and in the reading public that an absence of response typically means acceptance and agreement over what is heard or said. It seems we only hear from our audience when they are displeased. With exceptions, of course.

Carl is right - we (myself anyway) are often lax in our praise for good work being done, and great information being presented. Thanks End80.

Artisan, Carl, End80 we'd like to have you come to the next meeting. I'll talk more about this in the comment to the letter to the FCC post I just made.

This Thread Is Set To Expire
This "Open Letter to the FCC" will expire tonight.
When I started the thread I wish I'd printed a clear definition of the concept of an "Open Letter", as I don't think it is well understood.
An "Open Letter" posted within a publication, such as this Forum Site, is a self contained letter in which the forum posting itself comprises the Letter.
An "Open Letter" is not a rough draft of a future letter yet to be polished and sent at a later time.
Time now is 5:03 PM CDT. I'll close the thread at 10 PM CDT.

I like Davidc's version of the "letter" and this could go to ISED(Industry Canada) also. The Decade would have to be changed to transmit between 87.5 and 87.9 though.
