The quest for the Legacy to be receivable for the entire town of Deltaville has never stopped. Today I tested yet another possibility and this one doesn't break any rules in fact you don't need to change any equipment on your end at all.
This magnetic loop cost under $40 and when tested with a Tecsun PL-380 Radio was able to pull The Legacy in at a whopping 27dbuV 2.5 miles away. whereas without the loop was not even receivable at all. This was well past Stingray Point Marina across the street and in the campgrounds whereas it was full of trees. This area is even a dead zone for cell phones but yet The Legacy came in booming as long as you used the loop antenna whereas without it zero no signal. We then decided to take the road across from Sunset Grill and went 2.5 miles down that road again I tested with the loop antenna this time it was much clearer because there was nothing blocking it no trees no nothing and at times I got around 30 dbuV. So telling my listeners to buy this Loop they will be able to receive my signal as long as their home is not a trailer or if they want to listen outside.
I then went to the thrift store which was around a mile and tested it and I got a whopping 42 to 45 dbuV signal this one sounded exactly like FM. The loop got rid of any background noise whatsoever in the signal. This was phenomenal. The next thing I will do is go to the Deltaville Market and Test the loop antenna over there. I have reason to believe that the problem will be solved and I will once again have my listeners back. I will be promoting this Loop big time on the Deltaville Virginia Facebook page this way I will get my listeners back. This is something every one of you people can do and you're not breaking any FCC rules so there's nothing anybody can do about it.

... I will be promoting this Loop big time on the Deltaville Virginia Facebook page this way I will get my listeners back. ... One thing to consider: probably few of the listeners you are hoping for will have the interest you have in listening to a relatively weak/noisy AM signal when it requires them to buy and use a critically-tuned and carefully-oriented loop antenna next to their receiver.

How hard is it to take the unit out of the box, read the instructions and tune it. I've explained on the Deltaville, VA Facebook Page about the loop and how to use it. I suppose I can show a few links on Youtube or like I said I'll do demos at Sunset Grill parking lot or Deltaville market parking lot. I use to have a ton of FM listeners who want to hear my station. I'm sure these folks will buy the loop put it near their Radio and turn a knob.
I suppose I'll get Richard to record me doing this but right now I have an ugly construction version of this loop however I am sure the professional loop will do the same if not better.
Turk also has one called the AM Advantage which I'll have to see if its bigger than the Tecsun AN 200. I want my listeners to have the loop with the highest gain. This is how I'll get all my previous FM listeners back. I may have to also make signs for my station on one side have the loop and how its placed near the Radio. The other side will advertise The Legacy C-Quam Am Stereo 1640 Break FREE of the shackles of Top 40 and Rap.
Getting the word out is the key here but should be easier than having all my listeners buy a Radio for the Japanese band. This loop brought Album Rock quality signal even on a Mono Radio to the masses in Deltaville. I was truly amazed at the performance of the loop. We just need to hammer out the promos for it.

A good demo.
But Rich has a point, will your prior FM listeners go to this extent to get your station?

Here is a demo I did at the Deltaville Market with the Home Made ugly construction version of the loop. I did better at the camp ground but here it is: Here is a demonstration of the Loop with Ugly Construction at the Deltaville Parking lot. Lots of cars to interfere with the signal yet it comes in pretty good. Remember the professional version of this loop does not look ugly like this. Its only to demonstrate it works. www.facebook.com/WildChild1981/videos/2163292280375105/?t=128

Good to see a video from you and nice to see a home made loop, and it looks like pretty solid one, not like the cardboard or wooden ones I've made in the past. Mine were to be simple and use junk parts, like a tuning capacitor from a old transistor radio, picture frame with nails at the corners and wrapping magnet wire around it from a solenoid or relay coil from discarded electronics.
You put the tuning cap across the coil in parallel to make a resonant circuit, very simple, and it works by increasing the loop size compared to what's inside of the radio with its small ferrite loopstick. The big loop also resonates with the radio's antenna stick to increase the Q-factor of the antenna circuit, peaking it and making it more selective as well.
I have a Terk now, one of the grey ones with the purple tuner, and it still works nicely, I use it to DX when stations need a little more help.
My only trouble with the demo is it was hard to hear what was going on as the loop tuned in The Legacy and then without the loop. Maybe start with an establishing shot showing where you are, a pan around for a few seconds, then frame it to have your face, hands the loop and radio tightly in the shot. If you're worried about the fine folk at Yu2ube canning your music, for the demo you could put a CD of unknown music or speech on the radio, while the stream plays normally.
Keep rockin'!

My station streams 24/7 on the Internet and what goes over the air is also going over the net except the Walmart commercials. I also run Album Rock 24/7 (except when I'm not at home for a while in case of transmitter failure) on 1640 AM so I'm very picky about what I air. Its a true Album Rock station whereas if you could go back in time to around 1983 before MTV got sued and Album Rock was king that is what you hear on The Legacy. I even have an aggressive sounding Album Rock type ID's for the station.
I'll try and find some stuff not played on commercial Radio I mean so rare Shazam won't ID it and make a playlist of super rare stuff. Then play that list and make an even better video.
Album Rock is not as tight on copyright especially non US artists like David Wilcox, Goddo, stuff like this to demonstrate what The Legacy is all about. The Hard work part is getting noticed and Videos that show Range to the townspeople will get my listeners as well as promoting Good AM Receivers and C-Quam AM Stereo and don't get caught with AM that sounds like your talking through your nose.
The Loop cuts through the noise making The Legacy enjoyable to listen to on an otherwise dying band so these Loops will save your station and maybe AM too.
My Broadcast Engineer friend did a good job on that loop as he did with my station. The transmitter is in an all metal case not cheap plastic, the unit looks as professional as can be too. It even has BIG LETTERS C-Quam AM Stereo!! I love to show it to visotors who look in amazement at the transmitter.
