Air Conditioning in the Studio
The day began at 4 AM as we checked out our studio air conditioner which had not been switched on so far this year even though we've had a week of 90-degree temperatures.
Our only source of comfort this week has been a "tower" fan, a cylindrical model that shoots a stream of air.
With even higher temperatures predicted it seemed like the right time to activate the air conditioner.
The other day, with a temperature of 90-degrees, we spoke to a colleague in Austin, Texas, where the temperature was 95-degrees. He said, "But it's not uncomfortable here because Austin doesn't have the high humidity that St. Louis has."
That got me wondering, what is it that gives St. Louis a high humidity during the summer? What causes Austin to have lower humidity?

So Let Me See If I Get What You Are Saying
DHR is saying that Austin, Texas, has low humidity because it has no DHMO.
