....It's out there if you want to garbage pick a bit..... As big as our Burgundy Monstrosity® is, we are looking to add space for the mixer and Rivendell touchscreens. The Audioarts desk is big enough to cover 1/4 of the table, and waste quite of bit of room when seated at the opposite of the location, so that configuration was out. The plan that we came up with was to build a long, skinny table out of plywood to go between the existing table and wall. Legs are recycled from IKEA (OLAV) furniture that was thrown away by the neighbors, The top is painted plywood (I splurged and had the paint color matched to the existing counter-top) To explain the technicolor drawing below: The green rectangle at the top is the new table. The purple lines are the track lighting salvaged from a renovation by a CDL team member. The rack is a left-over Winsted System 90 rack from another project, and is mounted below the new table. PH indicates an Avaya system phone. The black lines along the wall are the backdrop / sound control drapes. Total cost for the "new" table including the paint was less than $100, with most of it being decent plywood. Side benefit is moving the smaller monitors off the road cases... SP
