Three More Days Left On This Deal
Bidding is still on the low side.

That's the model I haveBidding is so batty in my opinion, I've all but stopped putting bids on anything, it just varies too widely to be anything like a fair price to pay. I've seen the same LPB transmitter go for under 100.00 and 500.00 at different times, and many other examples like that, that the extra effort to figure it out and watch an auction just isn't fun anymore. It might help that one of the last bids I put on something and thought I got a good deal and was happy to get was cancelled after the auction. It was a low bid for what the item was probably worth, but seller cancelled saying they found the item was broken after the auction had ended. I and a more pro Ebay friend agreed they probably didn't get what they wanted. Now I'd rather let someone else have it, I feel like I'm doing a public service by not driving the price up, throwing my bid in.. Apologies if someone reading or posting here is the seller.. Addendum: Now that looked at the auction again, I have that same version of the transmitter, and mine comes with an extendable three section custom aluminum antenna, as well as an audio/power coupler box, with a compressor and balanced audio driver circuit in it, and a power adapter. If those don't come with the transmitter, then they'd have to be found separately to make a complete unit. Boomer

I'll Sit This One Out
Boomer bellows: "I'd rather let someone else have it, I feel like I'm doing a public service by not driving the price up."
That's about what I do. The "game" of bidding isn't the sport for me.
A few times I got good deals by taking the simple path of bidding what I was willing to pay and winning unexpectedly.
UPDATE MINUTES LATER
On the Procaster website the latest model number is TX200.
The Ebay unit is the TX100.

Boomer, For most online auctions, if you bid before the last 10 seconds, all you will do is drive the price up and not increase your chances of winning at all. I use a "sniping" program called Auction Magic by Merlin Software. It runs in the background all the time and will fire off a bid when you want it to, for the price you are willing to pay. I typically set my program to bid when there are between 8 to 12 seconds left on the auction. For many auctions you will see little to no activity before the last 30 seconds of an auction. Seller says only what's pictured is what you get....so the audio/power part may not be included and you'd have to buy that from Chez Radio. Although the power could be adapted to the terminals on the board and the audio too with a power and audio jack made for the main unit.

Hi Honey Brook Radio, I always see that too, where there are bids all along a week before an auction ends, and wondered why people bothered to do it, maybe lazy bidding because they can't come back, or even fake bids.
The only way I could see early bidding working is if an item was not popular and there was a good chance that no one else would bid on it.
As for the Procaster, I thought about that, you could make your own power and audio interface, use processing software or your own compressor if you wanted, and an antenna with maybe a piece of aluminum tubing of the proper length and drill it for the studs. If you were handy, that might be a way to get a lower cost system.
The seller said he got the transmitter from a sale at a school, and it makes me wonder why the system was separated and where the other pieces went to. It's unused, so I guess the school's radio program didn't work out.

The compression is on board the transmitter and you can see it in the pictures. I even thought I would try to bid on this and get it at a much better price and just go to a electronics parts store here and pick up a power jack and 1/8" audio plug and jack(stereo to mono) and wire it in to the terminals, just to have an AM transmitter.
But I think the price is quite high already.

Doesn't the Procaster also include a line amp to beef up the audio to the xmtr? If yes then that is something else to consider not included. Considering that a brand new Procaster is pretty inexpensive for what you get, just $750 last I checked, includes on board audio processing and line amp, a new one with warranty and support looks like the better choice to me. $750 in US dollars. That's $1000 Canadian!, when you include shipping and sales tax(here) Forget it.

Anybody know what it went for? Just curious, since Ebay took away the view original listing link, so I couldn't see the results. Dumb of them.

It was only half of the complete system for one thing, even I thought of bidding if I could give it power and audio directly to the connections on board but another post said it may not be good as the studio indoor part has some line amplification but it may have worked.
